Background
James Slipper is one of the greatest prop forwards in Australian rugby history. Born and raised on Queensland's Gold Coast, Slipper debuted for the Australia in 2010 and went on to become the most capped Australia international in Test rugby, breaking George Gregan's record of 139 caps in 2024. A two-time Rugby World Cup participant, Slipper captained the Australia through the 2022 Rugby Championship and Spring Tour. He has been a cornerstone of the Brumbies' forward pack since 2019, becoming the first Australian to play 200 Super Rugby games. In September 2025 he became only the third player ever to reach 150 Test caps, and in March 2026 he became the most-capped Super Rugby player in the competition's history. He is still playing, for the Brumbies and for Australia.
